Barbara McVay a Baltimore teenager climbed from a conning tower of HMS Walrus after 12 hours aboard and asked to be returned to shore. She said she fled to England because she could not legally go there, and that she liked English boys. The sub turned back and dropped her at a nearby boat after groggy from carbon monoxide fumes.
