Norwalk police investigated three accidents Friday night and this morning. Five Townsend Street residents lost telephone service after a pole damage. six West Main Street residents were cut off until noon. Marsha A. Simon, 19, wrecked her 1968 car on Townsend Avenue at 1 29 a m hitting a pole. cited for speeding. Norman E. Wilde, 36, left the scene after his truck struck an electric pole on West Main Street. cited into Mayor's Court. Judy Ann Cothran, 20, was rear ended at Benedict Avenue near L and K Restaurant. driver Harry Woodruff, 55, cited for inattentive driving. Ronald L. Kearney and Michael L. Sullivan reported a Burger Chef collision. Kearney followed Sullivan to Milan League Street and filed the report.

Two Teens Die in Elyria Head on Collision
In Elyria Ohio two teenagers were killed in a head on crash. Victims were 18 year old Brian Newcomb and 17 year old Miss Terry Ott both residents of Elyria. Newcomb reportedly crossed the median into a westbound car. The other driver and a passenger were taken to Elyria Memorial Hospital.

Twenty infiltrators ambushed a ten man UNC patrol near Panmunjom. One South Korean and two Americans were wounded while another US patrol responded. Texas Crash Blamed on Experimental Brake
The Air Force blamed a brake failure on an experimental unit in a $6 million F111A fighter bomber that crashed near Bowie Texas on October 19. The brake was designed to slow the aircraft more efficiently and was the only one of its type on the F111A.

Arbor Day ceremonies mark tree plantings in area schools
Wakeman Norwalk and Townsend Hartland and Wakeman elementary schools held Arbor Day events Friday afternoon with buckeye trees planted.
