In Cincinnati doctors report the Levy quintuplets remain in good condition and improving. Three babies began bottle feeding Wednesday. two start today. They remain in incubators with IV nutrition ending as feeding becomes sufficient.
In Chicago a youth armed with a carbine fired more than twenty shots from a fifth floor South Side apartment, killing one man and seriously wounding another. Police shot the rifle from him after a long gunfight and captured the gunman as about twenty officers surrounded the building.
The FBI said eight people including Charles B. Moeller president of Ohio Decorative Products were arrested in connection with the March 1 explosion and fire that leveled a $14 million sponge rubber plant in Shelton Connecticut. A 10 count federal indictment charges conspiracy bombing statutes and interstate transportation in aid of racketeering. Moeller, 48, of Spencerville Ohio, is named among the arrestees.
Ten more species are added to the Interior Department endangered list including the Scioto Madtom from Pickaway County Ohio. Other additions include the Cedros Island mule deer the peninsular pronhorn antelope gray bat bayou darter American crocodile Mexican wolf and three Hawaiian birds.
Weather outlook shows showers likely and cool tonight with lows in the 40s and a 70 percent rain chance. Friday improves to partly cloudy with 30 percent shower risk and highs near 50. Agricultural notes cite 0.5 to 1 inch of rain today and 70 percent humidity this afternoon. Also listed are marriage license applications for John A. Thompson and Shannon M. Pittman, both Norwalk, plus Robert Prohaska and Edith M. Wade, and births in New London, Berlin Heights, Willard, and a death in Greenwich.

Four terrorists armed with automatic weapons stormed the West German Embassy in Stockholm and seized Ambassador Dietrich Stoecker. Police sealed a five block area as rioters fired submachine guns and threatened to shoot the attache. Hostages included Lt. Col. Andreas Baron von Mirbach with other officials feared captive amid possible explosives. The group reportedly belongs to the Baader Meinhoff urban guerrilla gang and claimed to act for political prisoners.

Elenore Beck was officially dismissed as chief deputy clerk of Huron County Juvenile Court by Judge Thomas Heydinger. The entry notes Beck served 14 years in two courts and was told the court lost confidence in her ability to perform duties, effective April 16. Beck, informed by staff, plans to seek county work while Heydinger has not named a replacement.
USC Daily Trojan editor Kari Granville reports Nixon said he will provide tape recordings that helped end his presidency to USC for a Nixon Library. He spoke at a Palm Springs reception hosted by Walter Annenberg and described being 75 to 80 percent recovered from health issues while assuring mental fitness.
