Senate Minority Leader Frank W. King warned of a potential battle over the governor's 1.4 billion general fund budget and the operations of Senate Finance Chair Ross Pepple. King criticized Pepple for limiting welfare testimony and said he may block budget passage if reforms aren't made. The session also saw a highway bill and a highway naming action for Tom Jenkins Memorial Highway in Lawrence County.
