Faith healer Jenkins weds Linda Peck in Delaware cathedral

Explosion Levelled Chattanooga Bank Building In Early Morning Blast

A massive 4 30 a m blast destroyed the five story Sisken Building housing a First Tennessee National Bank branch in Chattanooga Tennessee. Police said a woman seen nearby is unaccounted for with no injuries reported. Fire officials called it a tremendous explosion leaving a four block zone littered with rubble and shattered storefronts.

Vandals destroy 1940 Lincoln Zephyr found near Norwalk

John Wilcox, a car restorer, saw his 1940 Lincoln Zephyr wrecked by vandals in a four wheel drive vehicle behind his Norwalk area shop. The car, worth about 1500 dollars, is beyond repair and will be sold for salvage parts. A $100 reward is offered for information leading to arrest.

Trustees recommended to Norwalk city officials and Huron County commissioners that industrial revenue bonds be issued to fund two commercial projects. The Norwalk Area Community Improvement Corporation began in 1965 under the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce to promote industrial and civic development and later became a separate entity after incorporation.

Pilot Skids 400 Feet After Low-Level Takeoff

Springfield Municipal Airport officials say student Michael Styles, 29, of Louisville, took off in a Mooney M-20 F and retracted landing gear before liftoff. The plane skidded 400 feet before control was regained. both Styles and the instructor were uninjured.
