Harold Risner Released on Parole After Appeal
Harold Risner, 21, freed on parole from Ohio State Penitentiary after an appeal led to a new trial. He had faced an armed robbery charge for a January 12, 1970 holdup in Willard, pleading guilty to grand larceny as part of a plea deal and receiving one to seven years. Prosecutor William W. Owens said the shorter sentence, plus time already served, makes him eligible for parole and avoids a new trial.
