White hats lead spring and summer fashion trends
White bonnets dominate spring millinery with the pull-down cloche as top style followed by large floppy brims and nautical shapes. Colors include reds navies and acid greens while Panama hats return softly. The industry, valued around 300 million yearly, notes youthfulness and a shift away from kooky looks toward clean elegant lines.
