Milan chase hits 100 mph ends with stop by deputy

A Milan motorcyclist sped up to 100 mph as officers from Milan, Norwalk, and Huron County pursued him Friday night. Timothy C. Sparks, 23, of River Road Milan, was cited at 7 12 p.m. for speed and willful fleeing. He is due in Milan Mayor s Court April 24.

Flooding recedes after rain in Huron County

Lions form fund to aid Meals on Wheels program

The Norwalk Lions Club established a fund at Huron County Bank for Meals On Wheels. First donations totaling 120 came from the bank and an employee. Federal funding ends June 30, needing local financing. 750 dollars per year per recipient for 16 current hot meals, with 18 on a waiting list. Local effort aims to replace federal support via churches and clubs.
