Mansion Becomes Home for Springfield Pastor
The old governor's mansion in Columbus was sold at auction for 225000 to Rev. Nathan Beavers of Faith Baptist Church Springfield. Beavers said Mansion Associates will use the two story 31 room building and plans will be announced later. Caretaker Marion Carpenter, 82, said he would be glad to be out of the mansion.

Kite Flyers Warned After Teen's Death In Port Clinton
Ohio Edison Co and the Ottawa County Sheriff warn kite flyers following the death of 13 year old David McClosky. He climbed a tree near a power line to retrieve a kite and was electrocuted after brushing the wires. Deputies urge avoiding trees near lines and to call the electric company if a kite becomes tangled.

Doctor Must Pay $5,000 For Stitch Removal
In Marion Alabama a Perry County jury ordered Dr. Bobby C. Merkle to pay 5000 damages for removing three fresh stitches from a 13 year old patient who could not pay 25 dollars. The incident occurred after the youth's wrist was cut while helping to kill a goat in 1974. The case follows an earlier trial that was overturned. The boy's family may seek a third trial. The state board of medical examiners censured Merkle and probation for one year.
