Father orders son to kill father in Rhodesia ambush
Stephen Chengeta recalls the day black guerrillas forced him to kill his father Simon Chengeta, a Lowveld MP, with a garden hoe. The elder man urged his son to live rather than risk his own life. The murder occurred March 19 in Razi near Chibi as part of a broader Rhodesian war that has claimed thousands of lives.
