Registration for fall kindergarten at Nobel Elementary School runs today through Friday. Eligible children must be five by December 1, 1968 and reside in the Nobel district. Required records include birth certificate photostats, parent and neighbor contacts, employment, and residency proof.
St Mary of Nazareth joins the Northwest Community Organization to establish a health council. Sister Mary Edelburg C.S.F.N. of St Mary’s is named chairman and elected as a vice president, serving on the NCO executive board. The council will assess health needs, promote education, and coordinate surveys and programs.
Hermosa Woman's Club members plan a meeting at the Hermosa Park fieldhouse on April 5 at 11 a.m. Reports cite a $45 Indian scholarship, a $100 college scholarship, funds for goods for GI's in Vietnam, and other causes. They have gathered stamps to aid needy tubercular children and prepared 60 Easter baskets for a school for retarded children.
