The Sycamore Board of Education formally approves the 1972 operating rate of 31.41 mills and bond rate of 3.60 mills, with a .50 mill new bond levy approved in November. Madeira native named Princeton University Band conductor
Donald R. Hershey son of Mrs. Sarah Hershey 7431 S Mingo Madeira was elected student conductor of the Princeton University Band. A 1969 Madeira High School graduate he is a junior at Princeton majoring in basic engineering. He will conduct the marching band in 1972 and also leads the band during basketball season while assisting with the symphonic band in spring. He also plays trumpet with the university band and has performed with Triangle Musical Comedy and campus jazz groups.
