Jim Oegel hiked the Appalachian Trail from start to finish through 13 states covering 2,024 miles. He wrote his parents John and Rita of Blue Ash Ohio that friendly hikers joined him at times. he is now hitchhiking home to Cincinnati to return to school in the fall.
