In Montgomery the tenants and Mayer Son Associates have invested over 2 million dollars in a redevelopment project. The agreement allocates funds for property improvements and future rent stabilization, signaling confidence in the area's economic growth.
The Common Market by Ron Welsch and Elliot’s shop-office reflect family carpentry and homegrown design. The Market Place in Montgomery aims to revive old fashioned Ma and Pa stores with a courtyard, lake, and shuffle of small shops arranged in an amoeba layout.

The Kennedy Heights Parent Cooperative Nursery KHPCN has CRC permission to operate a day care center at Woodford Elementary Kennedy Heights opening January 1977. CRC granted rent free space and a $10 000 furniture grant while KHPCN plans a private $10 000 grant and nursery operation. KHPCN has run a nursery for ten years and pledges to meet community needs.
Madeira Mayor Dan McDonald was found not guilty of reckless neglect of duty after a two day Hamilton County Municipal Court trial. Judge Robert Gorman ruled the prosecution failed to prove he knowingly ignored a duty. Councilman Doug Oppenheimer labeled the proceedings with questions remaining and vowed to obtain a complete transcript for review. Diane Pike testified about orders to destroy a speeding ticket and McDonald denied instructing her to do so. Adler, a ticket recipient, and others offered conflicting statements, while McDonald defended his record as a long time mayor. The trial highlighted discrepancies in Pike’s testimony and questions about duties of the court clerk and police chief. The case drew attention to the handling of a yellow ticket copy sent to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Blue Ash considers purchasing 55 acres across from UC Raymond Walters to create a modern downtown with overhead walkways. Cincinnati owns the land and would sell for development by Blue Ash, which hopes to parcel to developers under strict criteria. A separate $1.5 million 273 acre deal for luxury housing and golf awaits final terms with Cincinnati.
Matson Health clubs plans a 22 000 square foot two story fitness center on a 4 3 acre Cornell Road site opposite Kenwood Road in Blue Ash. The facility will include indoor racquet and handball courts whirlpools saunas sunrooms and exercise rooms with outdoor tennis decks jogging track and lakefront recreation. Building aimed to start in August with a first year opening after January. Land owned by Communit Builders with heart club holding first option.
Sycamore Township police investigate two daytime style break ins on July 25 and July 30. The McCabe's Hardware store at 12160 Montgomery Rd was entered through a roof hole and about 1114 in tools TVs and radios were stolen. Borcherding Buick at 8727 Montgomery Rd suffered a rear window entry and about 7000 in mechanic tools were taken.
