Frank A. Barron, a two month city resident, admitted forging and passing a $4.10 check drawn on McDonald State Bank to harness firm Frontedt and Sheedy. He faces one to twenty years. he had violent withdrawal symptoms and asked to be sent to the penitentiary.
Frank J. Polzkill fatally shot W. W. Thomas on Lon Dillon farm near Stapleton Nebraska. Authorities say the wound proved fatal within hours and the inquest jury ruled self defense. Both men were Logan county residents and brothers in law with prior disputes. Thomas had run a blacksmith shop in Logan county years earlier.
Frank Taylor arrested last week for breaking and entering at Chamberlain rooming houses faces a county court hearing today after pleading not guilty at arraignment. He may plead guilty to larceny with a theft around twenty dollars. George Bishop, paroled convict, pleaded guilty to larceny and awaits pardon board action, potentially returning to Lincoln to serve prior term.
