J B Weisner displayed a 1200 pound sixteen month old heifer at his meat market. Stall fed on corn and alfalfa the animal is to be killed the next day and refrigerated a couple of days before Saturday morning sale. The prime article of beer will be on sale to customers calling at Weisner's market.
Telegram to Mrs. T C Patterson announced the death of Asa Bradley at his home in Hamilton Montana. He had lived in North Platte for years working as a Union Pacific contractor before moving to Hamilton nearly twenty years ago. He was well liked by many old friends in North Platte who mourn his passing.
Union Pacific strikers form a joint board of financial directors with one member from machinists boiler makers and blacksmiths Samuel Grace district secretary of the machinists becomes chairman. The board will solicit aid from organized labor nationwide and distribute funds to strikers across the Union Pacific system.
Jas McCarrick former president of the Boiler Makers union in Kansas City Kansas fined 1510 for remaining at work during a strike at Union Pacific shops. He has thirty years service and will not pay the fine if a settlement occurs. He may seek nonunion work if needed, placing family first.
The Gothenburg old settlers picnic last Friday drew about 150 attendees and featured speeches and a fine dinner. In Cheyenne county a five year old girl, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ired Geine of Greenwood, died Friday from a rattlesnake bite after mistaking the sting for a bee.
