A committee led by O E Elder with A P White A B Allen Ray C Langford and Ira L Bare aims to list every Lincoln County boy in service on a glass topped tablet to be placed on the courthouse grounds. Names with home and present addresses will be alphabetized with space for new entries. A companion case will copy names and addresses and update changes as boys transfer or relocate. Parents of enlisted boys are asked to send name home address and present address to Elder promptly to complete the tribute.

Cobb sells Lami tract to Luft for 33605 dollars

The county's registration reached 2,581 with last Thursday’s 2,551 added. The board must finish clerical, medical, and classification work within 100 days, meaning all men face call by December 20. Some 18 to 21 year olds may enter training schools before October 16.

Sammy Girls Club Organized at Wallace
The Sammy Girls of Wallace Baturdar organized a girls club and held a sale with lunch to celebrate the organization. They netted fifty dollars and turned it over to the Red Cross. Mrs. A Shivers of North Platte received a War Department telegram stating Private Edward B Moore Infantry is officially reported missing in action since August 11. He is 22, volunteered, served in France since April, and was a local resident not widely known. This is North Platte's first missing in action case.
