Laborers Strike Delays Work On Timmerwan Building
Workers on the Timmerwan building struck Tuesday after being paid twenty cents per hour and demanding higher pay. Contractor Basta claimed to hire replacements as strikers threatened the workers, causing fright and stoppage. In Second Ward, three carriers quit, others filled their positions, and work resumed.
