City Council Set To Meet In Regular Session Tonight
The city council will convene in its regular semi monthly session this evening. Local clubs hold meetings and social events with Mrs J S Hoagland hosting the A B Club yesterday and the Episcopal guild planning a rectory social on Thursday afternoon. The Leader showcases fall hats and the latest dress trimmings while notices detail loans and property actions.

Sorrow and disappointment followed the refusal of a marriage license to Fred Adams 20 of Cheyenne and Miss Elizabeth Shot 18 of North Platte at the County Judge’s office last Friday. Union Pacific to plant 125000 catalpa trees for timber ties
A. L. Mohler says 125 000 catalpa trees will be planted on Union Pacific land east of the city next spring. The trees are tested as a timber for ties with irrigation planned in early years to ensure healthy growth. The North Platte plantings are a fraction of the planned future numbers.

Sheriff to bring in suspect after Casper arrest
Sheriff Miltenberger received a telegram Sunday from Casper Wyoming announcing the arrest of one of two men wanted for stealing about two hundred dollars worth of property from St Russell the black smith. The sheriff will depart for Casper late this week to secure the captive H J Hansen. The north side sock man will ship four cars of cattle to South Omaha early next week. Reverend Geo F Williams visited his father in Seward last week where the minister nears retirement and received a theological library of over 400 volumes, bringing his total to eleven hundred. A Nebraska Central Building and Loan offer promises a $1000 credit after 112 months for a $6 monthly investment.
