The Pool Concert Delights North Platte Audience
The Wednesday concert at the opera house featured Alvin Pool on violin with a strong city turnout. Encores marked the crowd’s appreciation for Pool and other performers including Earl Stamp, Miss Jessie Bratt, Miss Furnas, Mrs Milton Doolitte, Robert Cary, and the Arion Odette. A three hour dance followed with forty two couples enjoying the event.

The Y M C A reports 348 members in good standing as of August 31. Expirations on September 1 affect twelve railroad men and thirteen others, with renewals hoped for. Cheyenne visitors can find resting rooms in North Platte and several new joins, including two brakemen and an engineer. A passenger brakeman renewed, and a generous supporter funds another membership. An earnest man, asked to join, offers to pay for another. Gospel meeting invitation extended for Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
