Champion Stecher Wins Two Falls Over Davis in North Platte
World champion wrestler Joe Stecher opened his Nebraska appearance with two falls over Ed Davis of Indianapolis at the North Platte ball park. Stecher used scissor and half nelson holds to win in seven minutes and four and a half minutes as Davis fought hard but failed to match the Nebraskan's power. The undercard featured M. Luttberg defeating Tom Hume and Ray Trabert vs Dutch Manaver as the crowd showed uneven turnout.

Bruce Brown Buys the Maxwell Telephone Exchange
Bruce Brown, longtime manager of the local telephone exchange, has purchased the Maxwell exchange from George Swancutt. The sale occurred late last week. Brown will take six months’ furlough from the Nebraska company to develop and improve the newly acquired plant. Maxwell now has 154 phones and plans to expand service for its subscribers.
