Daisy Dean Dies While Working on Railroad Between St Joe and KC
W R Dean known as Daisy, a long time North Platte resident and railroad engineer, collapsed and died Friday in St Joe Missouri while on the service between St Joe and Kansas City. His brother Lew Dean, an engineer in this city, traveled to St Joe for the funeral.

Banquet and Reception for North Platte High Seniors
The class of 1910 was honored with a junior banquet Thursday at the Presbyterian church lower room. Seventeen seniors and juniors attended, with toasts by Francis Flynn and Pearl Lawrence, and music by the Stamp orchestra. Saturday evening the Alumni Association hosted a large reception at the Gilman residence, followed by a four course supper in the church basement and further toasts led by Edna Sullivan.

Commencement Exercises at Keith Theatre Mark North Platte Class of 1910
Thirteen young ladies and four young men received diplomas in a Friday evening ceremony at the Keith theatre. The program featured solos, a class history, orations, chorus selections, and a Taft letter reading. The exercises closed with diplomas presented by President Bullard and a preview of upcoming entertainment including The Alaskan at the Keith.

Two Men Charged With Passing Counterfeit Money
Detectives Miller of Omaha and Deputy Mons of Kearney filed a federal complaint against Earl York and Ira LaRue in the local town. They pleaded not guilty before U S Commissioner Eker and each posted bonds of 1,000 for appearance. York’s mother posted bond by mortgaging her Lexington home. LaRue remains jailed awaiting bond.

Vacation School for Junior Normal Aims Eight Week Term
A Vacation School will run eight weeks this summer linked to the Junior Normal. Grades three through eight will be taught with free books.
