Chairman Dixon said early estimates show Lincoln County Red Cross drive may reach 27000 dollars, about 10000 over quota. Several districts have reported strong totals and North Platte leads with about 7000 above its quota, signaling a robust overall campaign.

A Red Cross theatre program Tonight features Misa Huffman and Mary Miles Minturn in A Bit of Jade plus a selection of war pictures. The reel includes Americans under fire in France and England’s queen visiting a patriotic camp with President Wilson reviewing the Washington parade.
North Platte students from Manual Arts and Household Arts will display woodwork wing and mechanical drawings and a major penmanship section in an exhibit at Franklin auditorium open Tuesday and Wednesday with free admission. Also notes on club meetings births, local notices, and upcoming events appear in the city items.

Deputies tested grips aboard the train at Sidney and North Platte, exposing the suspect as he prepared to meet friends.
