Lincoln County Hen Holds Fifth in Egg Laying Contest
The April Nebraska Egg Laying Contest report from the state farm in Lincoln shows North Platte Experimental Substation's ten White Leghorn hens at fifth in total eggs laid to date. The top pen, White Orpingtons, has 1006 eggs. North Platte birds total 912 eggs from 410 hens across 41 pens. One North Platte hen ranks seventh overall in eggs laid.
