Man Killed On Train Tracks Near Maxwell
Arthur Wessberg son of Mr and Mrs A G Wessberg of this city was killed yesterday morning between twelve and one oclock on the tracks about three and one half miles east of Maxwell. He was riding the blind baggage and appears to have fallen from the east bound train. The body was found by the section crew and identified by a letter from the Grand Island guard company captain in his pocket. He left Sunday night to report for duty at Grand Island and had joined the company during the recent war agitation. He leaves his parents two sisters Mabel and Eesie and a brother Abner. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 oclock from the Baptist church with interment at No Platte cemetery.
