The North Platte club opened its ball season by defeating Kearney Normal on the local diamond. Attendance topped 500 with receipts near $150. Paul Meyers and Lowell each pitched three innings. Bandits Rob Overland Limited Take Registered Mail
Four masked robbers halted Train No. 2 on the boundary between South Omaha and Omaha Saturday night. They held the engineer and fireman while two other thieves entered the mail car and absconded with seven pouches of registered mail, likely containing a large sum. An automobile is suspected as the getaway vehicle, and two pouches with tops cut off were found near the scene.

Fencing of County Roads by Union Pacific Plan

County leaders oppose leasing at nominal price, proposing to lease land to save the road.
