About forty hardware stores in the district will send representatives to a meeting in North Platte on Monday May 23. Spearheaded by Mr Miles from the National office and Nebraska Hardware Dealers Association officials, the event includes a banquet by the Chamber of Commerce and sessions at Knights of Columbus Hall and Hotel Palace.

City Water Mains To Be Enlarged And Extended Soon
City officials announce plans to extend and enlarge water mains within ten days if weather and materials permit. A new ten inch line will run east on seventh street to Poplar then to Sixth, linking with the current main. If bonds pass the project may extend further south and east. About a dozen applicants have applied for work, with preference to men with families.
