The Eustis ball team with semi professional players will appear for games next Sunday and Monday. Notable members Grimm Carrig Barlow Taylor and Thelseen are known as very fast men. North Platte works out daily and aims for top form as the season opens despite poor weather last week. The management hopes for good weather and a large crowd this Sunday.

At a Wednesday meeting to form the North Platte Country Club with capital stock of 10000 dollars the plan is to purchase 145 acres known as the Plant tract north of the cemetery priced at fifty dollars per acre. Rain Returns After Spring Dry Spell
Rain began at two this morning and has fallen steadily with forecasts of continued showers throughout the day. Warm weather after rain should aid corn germination and grain recovery from the dry period.

Mohler to retire as Union Pacific president on July first

Banquet Highlights From School Glee Clubs
The Boys' and Girls' Glee Clubs of the high school held a banquet at Hotel McCabe attended by thirty five. Toastmaster H Flowers presided and impromptu talks were given by Prof Redenbaugh George Thompson Elizabeth Weir Marcel Overman and others. The event featured witty toasts musical selections and decorated tables with flowers and place cards. A Denver widow Mrs William Frazier died after a short illness leaving four children and her husband. A funeral was held. A daughter was born to Mr and Mrs John Reynolds at 601 East Third Street. Rentals offered for keeping rooms at 400 East Third Street.
