A. J. Salisbury the present Lincoln county sheriff filed for the Republican nomination for sheriff. George W. Rhodus of Osgood precinct also filed for the same office on the Republican ticket. North Platte 15 Debate Champions Crowned in Lincoln
North Platte High School won the state debate championship by a 2 to 1 decision over Holdrege in Memorial Hall at the University of Nebraska. The team included Albert Shhenk Louis Breternitz and George Dent with Robert Hoagland as alternate. Chancellor Avery announced the result after a series of district eliminations attended by Lincoln residents.
