Changes in Train Masters Across Districts Reported

In railroad circles it is said that changes will be made in train masters on the Third and Fourth districts. Trainmaster Sage will resign and return to Omaha to resume passenger conductor duties. Van Wirt will become trainmaster of the Fourth district, with Claude Delaney succeeding him in Northport. North Platte dispatchers will operate trains to Cheyenne, and the Sidney office will be abandoned with J T Davin joining North Platte as night chief. H V Hilliker, formerly terminal superintendent in Denver, and now traveling inspector of traffic, spent a few hours in town and plans a return visit.

Elks Luncheon Limited to Members and Participants

City council discussed lighting the water plant at their regular meeting Tuesday evening. Skinner Engine Co quoted a large engine for about $700, which would enable the city to generate its own lights from existing power and save on lighting costs.

Local gun club to hold annual shoot next week

The Buffalo Bill gun club west of the city will host its annual district shoot on Monday and Tuesday, May 11 and 12. About fifty outside shooters are expected for honors and prizes, with twelve thousand blue rocks on order and transport by auto for visitors.

G A R and W A C To Attend Memorial Program

G A R and W A C members are asked to attend a memorial program Monday May 11 at 2 PM at Washington School then 3 30 PM at Jefferson School. Short programs are planned and all are welcome. Old glory remains bright and dear after the war.
