The annual meeting and banquet at the Episcopal church basements featured a well‑furnished supper for eighty. President Seeberger and secretary Wortman presented reports and urged stronger local support. Five new directors were elected to join four holdovers, with guests Supt. Jeffers and J. W. Adams addressing the gathering. A booster spirit for North Platte was affirmed amid remarks on train service and local development.

A gold glittering street parade by Barton & Bailey will pass through North Platte on Thursday morning May 1 with hundreds in line, five bands led by Professor E C Jones Military Band, and open cages of wild animals. The parade spans about a mile and is touted as the greatest in America.
