Petition Circulates For Special Election On Irrigation District
A petition is circulating in the Lincoln and Dawson county irrigation district to require a special election by the board of directors on discontinuing the district. By yesterday noon twenty six signatures were collected, needing majority voter support. The new law, effective July, applies only to districts without debt, and the district reportedly carries about twenty thousand dollars indebtedness, plus potential LE. Duty for snow-fullfillment of contract.
