North Platte Rotary Club to be Instituted Tonight
The North Platte Rotary Club will be instituted at the Masonic hall with twenty five charter members. District Governor Slater of Lincoln attends with Rotarians from Kearney Grand Island Hastings and Lincoln. An election last Friday noon named directors L Carroll F B Mooney W J Maloney and Dr H C Brock with F L Mooney as president L C Carroll vice president N B K Buckley secretary W J O Connor treasurer and R K Dr Birge sergeant at arms. Out of town Rotarians arrive on No 7 tonight and will be entertained before the 8 30 banquet. North Platte is the eleventh town in the state to have a Rotary club.

Camp Fire Girls Form Council In Camp Pink Area
A group of Camp Fire Girls met at Franklin school last evening to organize a Camp Fire Council. Mrs Adda Turple was named president and Mrs MW Getty secretary with Mrs Yo WY Barber as treasurer. Mrs Hirkhofer of Gothenburg spoke on ideals and methods and noted 400 girls in North Platte area with 32 accommodated so far. More guardians volunteered and additional camps are planned soon.

Senate Rejects Vernables Treaty After Fourth Vote
The Treaty of Vernables failed to gain ratification for the fourth time as the Senate sent it back to President Wilson with a cautious note. Roll call tallies showed 49 in favor and 35 against with strong party splits and defections affecting the result. A move to reconsider quickly collapsed. In Ogallala a fatal plane crash killed pilot Batten and injured another after attempting a stunt at 1500 feet. The wrecked aircraft belonged to the Searle family.
