Local residents including Will Voseipka W H McDonald and Mrs B A Cram travel to Omaha for Shriners meetings. City property changes hands while community notices report church social events school dedication and upcoming sales and fashion items.
Second installment of sensational Wild animal drama series features The Two Ordeals and Adventures of Kath ryn. Proat story promises thrill. Kalem Comedy Out in the Rain screens with matinee Saturday at 2:80 p.m.
About 150 citizens attended a mass convention at the courthouse and nominated a city ticket. Incumbents E. T Trump and Edgar Schiller retired but were renominated without opposition. Ward caucuses selected council candidates Legi Duke, B. W. Mann, Harry Porter, and A. E Bell. dry candidates predominated though the ward lines did not focus on the wet dry issue.
In the county judge's office two marriages were performed in the afternoon. George W. Langois of Antigo Wisconsin wed Miss Fern Perkins of North Platte. Langois is a traveling representative for the Singer Sewing Machine Co. They will live in Antigo. William H. Griffith and Carrie M Lindsey, both of Dickens, were married. Griffith is a young farmer from the Dickens area and they will live on a farm there. Judge Grant officiated both ceremonies.
State of Ne braska files case against Fred Cortzen for impersonating the city chief of police. County Attorney George N. Gibbs files the complaint upon the chief John lazer’s accusation. Cortzen was arrested and jailed awaiting a likely today hearing.

A son was born March to Mr and Mrs J W Ruick of Columbus Ohio. Mrs Ruick is sister to Mrs A J Pushman of this city. C J Mayers, southwest of Wellfleet, was in the city for final proof. George Meyer drove over and with L E McClure and T L Baker were witnesses.
Property owners are urged to list empty houses with Buchanan & Patterson to secure fast rentals. The firm reports strong demand and no vacancies on their current listing, and notes good buyer interest in west end lots and houses.
A mass convention of the Republican party in North Platte Nebraska is called to meet at the courthouse on Saturday March 31 at 8 p m to nominate four councilmen from four wards and two members for the board of education. Voters from each ward will caucus to select candidates for councilmen and present them to the convention for ratification. W T Wilcox chairman CHAS MCNAMARA secretary.
C F Temple, agent Mrs Adelaide Rood of Lincoln and organizer for the Nebraska W C I A, will speak at the Presbyterian church this evening and at the Apliac church Sunday evening. She will address a mass meeting at the Christ ing church Sunday afternoon. Mrs Row has long worked with this effort and is a fluent speaker.
