Chautauqua Planned for June Visit Near Local City
Robert Smith of Kansas City announced the 1914 North Platte Chautauqua will be held earlier in June due to hot weather. He travels from Brady to Sutherland and aims to arrange shows in Sutherland as well, visiting local residents and a sister in Brady. He is an old college friend of Bert M. Reynolds.

Oldest county resident dies after brief illness
J C Hollingsworth, 74, long time county resident, died last evening at his Hershey home from a short illness believed to be pleurisy. He suffered a prior minor stroke. He leaves a wife and nine children, five sons and four daughters, with one son killed years ago. Funeral plans await word from California where another son resides.
