P H Sullivan received word from Hot Springs South Dakota on Wednesday evening of the death of Judge James M. Ray. He will be buried in the cemetery at the soldiers home where he was an inmate for several months. Ray was a pioneer North Platte resident who published a newspaper and served as county judge. He leaves a wife in California and a son in Roswell New Mexico. Local friends will regret his passing.
Frank Weingand longtime city resident died Wednesday morning at Elk rooming house after a brief illness. He had worked as foreman of U. P. coal yards and left a mother brother and sister in Rossville Alabama brothers Fred Omaha and Claude local sister Mrs Chas Stamp and Louis Peterson. Remains were taken to Rossville for interment with family travel from Omaha by Mr and Mrs Peterson and Fred Weingand joined in Omaha.
