Wood White pays fine for speeding train through city
Wood White, U P locomotive engineer, appeared before District Court Clerk N M York Saturday last and paid a total of 122 dollars 32 cents in fines and costs. He exceeded the speed limit in pulling a train through the city over a year ago but followed company orders. The company is presumed to have funded the payment. Treasurer Langford notes 600 dollars in personal tax remains due from various North Platte residents for 1908 and warns of costs if unpaid.
