Junior Normal Opens with Strong Attendance Growth

County club opens west of town with dance pavilion
A group led by Dick Baker and Everett Evans leased forty acres of the J B Halligan farm west of town, built a dancing pavilion and cottage, and formally opened the resort last night with a picnic and dance. Tom Legakes, a Greek laborer, drowned in the Union Pacific lake east of town. his body was recovered and a Greek priest from Omaha will conduct the funeral today at Maloney's, burial in North Platte cemetery.
