Republicans Meet in Lincoln County Convention in Nebraska
The Linealn county republican convention met at the courthouse on Saturday afternoon with 94 delegates named from 28 precincts, about 70 in attendance. Temporary chairman Crom was elected permanent, and all Republican ticket candidates were endorsed. Delegates to the state convention were chosen and sent to Lincoln today. Resolutions praised the national platform, criticized the Democratic administration and tariff policy, and pledged support for economical state government. A water problem resolution on the North Platte river was adopted with full text to appear in Friday's Tritune.

John M Thurston a longtime Omaha attorney and former Nebraska senator is critically ill at St. Josephs hospital in Omaha. He was knocked a week ago when he rose from bed for water and sprained his right hip. The injury, his age, and the heat alarm friends and reflect his long public service including his years as general solicitor for Union Pacific and a 1894 Senate election.

Water Plant Output During Dry Spell Report
Walter Commissioner Hershey Welch reports the water plant pumped about 1,500,000 gallons daily during the five week dry spell. Eight hundred sprinklers at 3.5 gallons per minute reduce pressure. two pumps operate, one at 2,150 gallons per minute and a smaller at 700 to 800 gallons per minute. Pre-dry spell average was 500,000 gallons daily.
