The Club Nevita opens and will meet July 24 with Mrs. Dr Heathman and daughter from Lamoni Iowa visiting Fenwick home. Miss Nevada Winters of Hastings arrives to visit sister Mrs Earl Lambert. Mrs Richard Owens hosts her sister Mrs Clark from town. Mr and Mrs Earl Lambert and children return from Hastings after a three week visit. Bishop George A Beecher of Kearney honored at one oclock dinner by Mrs W M Cunningham. Esperantists plan a picnic at Chautauqua grounds Wednesday at 7 pm replacing the regular meeting at public library rooms.
City clerk Chas F Temple certifies the 1912 expenditure estimates by the mayor and council. Items cover bonds and interest on water and sewer bonds, sewer principal, general fund salaries, streets and sidewalks, sewer maintenance, lighting, incidental city costs, police salaries, transit and supplies, and water plant operations.
