Vail Wins Auto Races On Fourth Of July Meet
The Fourth of July auto races in North Platte, under the American Legion, drew over six thousand fans. Vail set a half mile track record at 23 seconds, won the 20 mile class D race, and again led in the five mile event with Mais and Kirchuber second and third. No injuries reported and the event met expectations. Floyd Grace displayed a large field spider specimen, and BE Brown of Paxton transacted business in the city last week.
