Local board completed classification of about 1 700 registrants with 512 placed in Class A. Of those, 50 to 75 percent claim exemptions or dependencies. First squad of Class A men is summoned for medical examination. a second squad of thirty is listed to appear next Saturday. Exemption appeals go to the district board at Omaha. ninety percent of registrants reportedly claim some exemption. Mrs Richeson Leaves North Platte for Seattle After Secret Marriage
Mrs Richeson formerly Theo Schwaiger daughter of Mr and Mrs Sebastian Schwaiger is described as a popular vocalist. She reportedly wed Mr Richeson on November 11 in Seattle and has since returned to North Platte to prepare a home there before moving to Seattle to preside over it as the ruling queen.

Former Alamosa Resident Mrs Ginn Dies
Mrs Robi Ginn, formerly ofAlamosa Co, died in Alamosa Tuesday after a long illness. She married Mr Ginn in 1888 and lived here for years. The family lived in Alamosa for seventeen years where Mr Ginn served as County Clerk. Survived by husband three daughters and one son she was forty nine years old.

Colored Slackers Bound Over After Lexington Arrest
Two Black men were arrested in Lexington on charges of failure to register. They pleaded guilty before U. S. Commissioner Elder and were bound over to the Federal court. Unable to post bond, they face lodging in the county jail, a Federal facility. Citizens in Lincoln County are reminded to register with the local postmaster by February 8.

Baker declares army of two million ready for war
Secretary Baker testified before the senate military committee that the United States will field an army of about two million, including Pershing's forces, 22 divisions in the US and in France, with artillery and equipment backed by British and French ordnance.
