Numerous items fill a busy local page. Courthouse stairs halls will be covered with new matting and linoleum while social and civic events unfold around town including a linen shower for Miss Bessie Otten and a divorce petition filed in district court.

A T Geyer offers three six room houses in the South Park addition of Sutherland Nebraska. One with a good barn and ten acres priced at 3000 dollars. another with a good cellar and eight acres priced at 2600 dollars. a third with cellar good barn about 300 young trees and three acres priced at 1800 dollars.
Nearly two hundred guests attended the re tendered Rev and Mrs A A Gilman reception at the rectory on a Wednesday evening. An alphabetical receiving line, Chinese decor, and a buffet lunch highlighted the event as Rev Gilman prepares to sail for Hankow China on February 8 to resume missionary work.
Miss Roberta Hoy and Victor VonGoetz Jr were united in marriage Tuesday evening at seven in the Episcopal church by Rev Chap man in the presence of families and close friends. The couple, leaving for a month long wedding trip to San Francisco and Los Angeles, will take rooms upon return until a residence is erected. Mrs VonGoetz is the Hoy family's eldest daughter and a longtime North Platte resident praised as a ray of sunshine. Mr VonGoetz is a reliable Union Pacific ticket agent respected by the community.
Judge Grimes grants Lucy J Miller a divorce from Jacob Miller. Custody of children awarded to plaintiff. Alimony and home place with improvements, household and merchandise, debt set off with a $2000 mortgage, defendant receives personal property valued at $1187.00.

Will Maloney Jr left for Sutherland Wednesday to take charge of the funeral of the late Viro Patton. Mrs Faulk and Mies Krong came from Hershey Wednesday to visit local friends. Mrs Thomas Cox returned from Columbus after a death in the family. Welter Eavey of Brady did business and visited his sister Grace earlier in the week.
Engineer Ed observes a Derryberry and A plowing outfit powered by a 45 horsepower line engine driving eight plows. The operation can till acres per day and contracts for acres are secured, with more expected. In fall the engine will run a separator.
Harley Gates joined the Conrad visitors on Wednesday. John Bratt returned Wednesday morning from Omaha. Mrs. Fred Smith and son left Wednesday night for Paxton. F. W. Stroup plans to return tomorrow from Chicago and Omaha. Lewia Grulke left Tuesday for a two week visit in Omaha. Mrs Frank Cox of Sutherland visited town friends and sought medical treatment. Sheriff Miltenberger returned from Wallace after a day of business. Mas G. 35 announces store sale at cost. Harri Man and County Sept. Ebright visited country school Wednesday and departed yesterday for Wallace.
