Two Somerset Men Robbed After Night Out
Two men from Somerset claimed the precinct as home say they were beaten and robbed by strangers they met in town. They were drinking with the assailants near the waterworks, knocked down after crossing the tracks, one escaping while the other was robbed of cash and jewelry before seeking medical care at FP & 8 hospital.

Sheriff Denver to Aid in Capturing Union Pacific Thief Leaman
Sheriff Salisbury travels to Denver this afternoon to seize Leaman, a Union Pacific shop worker accused of stealing ninety dollars and a valise from a fellow employee. Leaman quit Wednesday evening, looted a workmate's strong box, and fled to Denver where his arrest followed.

Memorial services held for Bigher Chapter 56 OES members
The first memorial services of Bigher Chapter 56 Order of Eastern Star were held at the Masonic hall on Wednesday evening. Since the organization in 1893, twenty one members have passed away and the services honored them with a roll call, addresses by Revs. Chapman and Williams, and floral tributes. The flowers were sent to local hospitals the next morning.
