Fire accident claims Miss Florence Hoover at Cozad area
Miss Florence Hoover of Bigsprings died from severe burns suffered Saturday while starting a fire with kerosene at the Paul Betcher home east of Cowad. She boarded at the Betcher residence and died at Cozad depot around eight o'clock while awaiting No. 18 to be taken to North Platte.
