A push seeks state funding for tree planting under Park and Forest Association supervision with the state owning planted tracts. Stromburg Creamery declares a 10 percent dividend for 1899, funds for premiums and improvements. Butter mostly shipped to New York City. A Minneapolis lumber record rise marked 550,000,000 feet cut in 1899, up from 409,000,000 feet in 1898. Chippewa Falls Lumber Co.’s mill closed November with 60,000,000 feet cut, the largest single-plant season on record.
