Representative Bushee of this district gained prominence in the legislature by being named chairman of the irrigation committee and by securing seats on the railroad, banking, and live stock and grazing committees. The banking and railroad panels are noted as particularly important.
Representative Bushee introduced a bill in the legislature to establish a state experimental station west of the 102nd meridian near the Keith and Devel county line. The move follows suggestions from former Governor Sheldon.
The Commercial Club held its annual meeting Tuesday evening with about half the membership in attendance. Elected as directors were J. E. Evans Tobin Thos Healey O. E. Elder A. B. Hoagland Dr. D. T. Quigley Albert Schatz Will Woodhurst Alex Meston L. W. Walker and A. D. McDowell. The subsequent board meeting chose J. & Evans as president Dr. Quigley as vice president Albert Schatz as secretary and L. W. Walker as treasurer.
The renowned gentleman Jim Corbett appears at The Keith next Monday in the comedy Facing the Music. Audiences will enjoy his polished stage presence and natural grace as he headlines with a strong supporting cast including Joseph Sullivan and Miss Eleanor Montell.
The Boney Boys will perform next Tuesday evening in the city and must memorize every concert selection before stage use. Educators praise the practice as training and a liberal music education for young audiences and performers.

An odd divorce decree cites ill temper and bad breath as grounds. An advertisement from Stone's drug store touts Lt. King's New Life Pills claiming to cure constipation and liver trouble, banish headaches and chills, and improve breath at 25 cents.
The Union Pacific announces immediate elimination of multiple titles on its Nebraska division, creating an assistant superintendent role for eight officials. A central office will reduce red tape and allow division leaders to spend more time on the road, improving relations with travelers and shippers as part of Harriman era consolidation.
The assignment of W L Park to the Harriman lines seems likely to become permanent. Park has served as assistant to Julius Kruttschnitt, director of maintenance and right of way. Rumor says W B Scott, former holder of Park’s post, may be promoted to Erie president, prompting a wider U P officials reshuffle and a decision within days.
