New York Central retires 800 workers on pension
Eight hundred New York Central lines employees are retired from active service under a pension order effective last week. An annual distribution of 225000 dollars will be made under the plan. The rule requires retirement on pension for all employees reaching 70 years of age.

New Time Card Changes at Union Pacific Reroutes Local Trains
A new time card goes into effect next Sunday on Union Pacific. Train No 6 returns to the old schedule arriving at 0:30 am while No 11 arrives around noon and the Kansas City Portland special comes in about eight in the morning. Trains 7 and 8 are temporarily removed and replaced by one train each direction. The change adds two engine crews and two train crews. Also Sutherland high school basketball travels home from Sidney after a 60 to 12 loss in the game.
