Wreck at Union Pacific yards columbus injures crew and rider
Train No 28 collided with an extra freight in Columbus yards on Saturday morning. The engine and four cars were wrecked. the fireman escaped, the engineer was freed unharmed. C J Grose of Pine Bluff Wyoming was killed in the caboose and nine horses perished from a carload. A dense steam cloud from the round house is blamed for obscuring signals.
