Medals Presented to Scouts by Officials
Last Tuesday evening the scouts met in a joint session in the auditorium. Troops four and five decorated their sections showing strong troop spirit. The chorister Rich Birre led singing before Mr Payne spoke on Christmas and the true Christmas spirit. Mr Crosby presented twenty boys with tenderfoot pins making them real scouts. Mr Mollman awarded second class pins to Virgil Atteberry, Ellsworth Roberts, and Bernard Drost, and first class badges to Ralph Wickwire and Ralph Lepack. Total scouts past 150 with two second class and ten first class. A scout benediction followed and the meeting adjourned. A later meeting of football and basketball captains selected banner colors orange and black and planned a schedule for games after the holidays.
